The directive aims to promote voluntary agreements on the constitution and operation of EEEs. It works in two ways. C) Full text search for agreements that are stored in the database Each company is linked to at least one of the main sectors, while the ERC facilities and agreements are linked to one or more sub-sectors, as defined in the table below. As a result, the research function offers more sectors to ERC bodies and agreements. The EWCdb is a relational database of the EBR and SE-WC agreements, EECs, EEs and multinationals managed by the European Trade Union Institute (ETUI). The relational dataset has three main types of content: therefore, all old and new users are invited to save AGAIN (free; old login and password will not work) in order to get full access to agreements, personal dashboard and new features (see below). In 1999, ETUI created another database containing English-ed texts on EBR`s creation agreements. In 2005, a selection of data was put online, allowing ERC members to inform us of changes in the composition of their ERC or to send us copies of renegotiated agreements. This research refers a list of documents of all kinds (cee-EEC agreements, national jurisprudence, additional documents…) 2. The second type of content is the body of the ERC. The ERC bodies are officially established for transnational information and consultation under the EU-EEC regulation. A number of agreements have been made in these positions: an agreement that formally installs the body and, if necessary, possible renegotiations or modifications of this initial installation agreement, as well as other documents such as messages, court decisions, etc. A single agreement can also be linked to two separate bodies if several CEEs are created in a single global company.
The ERC database is a specific service of the European Trade Union Institute (www.etui.org) provided since 1998. It is the most unique and comprehensive source of information on the DEEE and SE and SCE corporate committees, as well as on the content of their agreements. 1. First, the database consists of agreements on the ERC. These are agreements signed between management representatives and workers` representatives of a given company regarding the establishment of transnational information and consultation bodies or procedures. These agreements (initial agreements establishing works councils and/or amendments or other related documents, such as court proceedings. B/Court judgments) are included in the data set, including some demographic data (signing date) and an analysis of the contract content using a coding guide. As a result of such an initiative, a negotiating task force is negotiating the practical aspects of the European Works Council: composition, competence, scope of meetings, need for translation and interpretation at meetings and much more.
These negotiations lead to an agreement on the ERC, which forms the basis of the functioning of the ERC as a whole. Now you have free access to our analysis of agreements, advanced search functions, graphic production tools, etc. The adoption of the reform of the Works Council Directive came after a long debate on whether it was desirable to grant additional rights to such councils and to place an additional burden on businesses. Finally, the ERC overhaul directive adopted in 2009 contained a number of important changes to the definitions of information, consultation and transnational issues, a right to training for workers` representatives and additional requirements for ERC agreements. If you are a member of the ERC, please enter the database and send us your agreement on the ERC. After the original directive came into force in 1996, some 70 new EEEs were created each year between 1997 and 2001.
